Segregation may yet be the most feasible thing to do to meet head-on the garbage problem in Bataan in particular and in the whole country in general.
The issue of garbage problem was raised amidst recent closure of Metro Clark Waste Management firm in Tarlac and the costly hauling fee which ranges from P800,000 to P1 million per month per municipality.
Third District Representative Maria Angela S. Garcia shared her idea of resolving the country’s garbage problem during a no-holds-barred exchange of “news” with Bataan media practitioners in her residence during the feast of St. John The Batist in Dinalupihan.
Cong. Gila said, “Perhaps we can simplify this matter by starting the garbage segregation from the household level para maunawaan ng mga tao.” She said the garbage is produced from the household themselves…kung magagawan natin ng paraan na masegregate na agad para madali na ang pag-process.
On the issue of good governance, Garcia said what is most important is the level of performance. “Para mawala ang mga aga-agam ng mga tao kelangan natin na we perform well enough,” the lady solon added.
To keep herself abreast of the goings-on in Bataan, the Congresswoman inquired on any developments in the towns of Bagac, Morong, Limay and Mariveles. She vowed to keep the media posted when she files House Bills in the 20th Congress soon.
